SILCHAR: Professor H Ramanand Singh, Dean of the School of Management Studies at Assam University, represented the university at a two-day academic workshop held in Hyderabad, organized by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) on August 1 and 2. The workshop, titled “Building Excellence in B-Schools: Academic Leader’s Strategies for Institutional Development”, brought together Deans, Directors, and senior academic leaders from top business schools across the country.
The event focused on fostering leadership, institutional development, and academic excellence within management education. Over two days, participants exchanged insights on best practices, strategic planning, curriculum innovation, faculty development, and improving institutional performance in business education.
Professor Singh presented the achievements of Assam University’s Department of Business Administration, highlighting its placement records, summer internship programs, admissions process, and academic strengths. He also emphasized the department’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates. At the conclusion of the workshop, he received a certificate of participation from AIMS.
The Department of Business Administration at Assam University offers AICTE-approved BBA, MBA, and EMBA programs, admitting students from across India and abroad. According to Professor Debmalya Ghosh, Head of the Department, the department also facilitates campus placements for its students, ensuring professional opportunities upon graduation.
