SILCHAR: PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Silchar held its 36th Vidyalaya-level Youth Parliament Competition on Wednesday, with 55 students from Classes 9 to 11 participating in a spirited simulation of parliamentary proceedings.
The event was graced by former MP and noted orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Rajdeep Roy as chief guest. He was welcomed by Principal Kishor Kumar Panday, who also delivered the opening address.
Dr. Roy praised the students’ performance, commending their grasp of parliamentary processes. Sharing insights from his tenure in the Lok Sabha, he encouraged students to harness technology for learning and personal growth.
The 50-minute programme was lauded for its disciplined execution and strong representation of democratic values.
